BUSINESS COVERAGE

 

Dear Music Teachers:

Thank you for your interest in our program. As a member of MTNA, you are eligible for insurance coverage in our Music Teacher Insurance program with the Hartford Insurance Company. Some of the benefits of our program over other programs we have seen are:

* Individual policies rather than a master policy with certificates of coverage
* One policy regardless of how much instrument coverage is needed rather than separate policies for various increments of coverage
* All owners and employees are covered under the same policy with no additional premium rather than individual policies and premium for each
* An entire team of underwriters is available to answer questions or make changes rather than only one person handling the program

The basics of our program for Property and Liability coverages are:

Option 1
1,000,000 General Liability
No Coverage for Instruments or Other Personal Property "available below in option 2"
MINIMUM PREMIUM 350 (250 for Florida, Georgia or Louisiana)

Option 2
1,000,000 General Liability
20,000 Musical Instrument coverage (no property coverage is available in Florida)
MINIMUM PREMIUM 500 (350 for Georgia or Louisiana)

This will connect you to one of Hartford’s new business underwriters. Please tell them you are calling regarding the MTNA program with the Clarkson Insurance Agency. They will ask you a few questions and be able to give you a firm quote while you wait. If you wish, they can immediately effect coverage and issue a policy for you. Hartford will bill you direct for the premium. Your payment should be made direct back to them.

Once your coverage has been put in place with Hartford, you can request any certificates of insurance, changes, or subsequent renewals from one of their underwriters by calling their toll free number:
